Robert Hazelwood achieved a British U21 Record equalling score of 3 buoys @ 10.25 metres at a competition at Lago Valle Maipo in Chile at the weekend.
Robert is keeping it in the family as this record was set in August 2003 by his cousin Will Asher. So its taken 15 years to equal it and the obvious challenge for Rob now is to beat it and make it his own. Well Done Rob Keep up the good work.
The British Officials Seminar will take place on Saturday 4th May at the Bentley Hotel near Hazelwoods Ski World in Lincolnshire. As usual we will have hard copies of the IWWF World Rules, the E&A Additional Rules and the British Additional Rules combined into an A5 sized Rulebook. These will be provided free of charge to all Tournament Officials. The seminar is free of charge and is open to all Officals, all those wishing to become an Official, site competition organisers and anybody else who has an interest in getting involved. We are planning a get together with an evening meal at the Hazelwoods Ski World Restaurant on the Friday evening. Details and invitations will be provided soon but please put it in your diary.
The 2019 Combined National Championships will take place at Performance Waterski and Training Centre at Hazelwoods Ski World over four days, 23rd – 26th August. A full bulletin will be issued shortly and an entry form sent out to all licence holders but in the meanwhile you can download an entry form on the link below.
This years seminar will take place on Saturday 4th May at the Bentley Hotel close to Hazelwoods Ski World. The Seminar is open to all current officials and to anyone who has a desire to become an official whether that is as a Judge, Scorer, Driver or Homologator. Following the Seminar there will be a slalom and trick competition on 5th/6th May at PWTC at Hazelwoods Ski World.
Site Competition organisers are also encouraged to attend. The Seminar information letter and Booking form can be downloaded below. The Booking Form also gives you an opportunity to express an interest to get some practice at the Competition and to apply for a position on the Officials Panel for the National Championships.
Friends of Tournament 200 Club. This is the January prize draw of the Friends of Tournament 200 Club. With 104 balls in the blue bag this month the prizes are £390, £260, and £130. The winners are, 1st Roy Collins no 44, 2nd Davie Wrennall no 76 and Shelley Nutt no 62. The dates and venue for the World U21 Championships 2019 have been announced. The competition will take place at Shalom Park, Edmonton, Canada on 4th to 7th July.

Friends of Tournament 200 Club Draw.
The December 2018 Draw took place during the BWSW Agm at The Queens Tennis Club on Sunday. There were 107 balls in the bag. The lucky winners were :
1st £401.25 No 45 Stuart Lillis
2nd £267.50 No 78 Jeremy Stephenson.
3rd £133.75 No 14 Gavin Kelly.
So at the end of our first two years we have raised a total of almost £50,000 and after lottery prizes £36,000 to support our team skiers and development activities. Thank you to all who have participated and made this possible.
We have one more draw left for 2018 before we get into year three of Friends of Tournament and the 200 Club Lottery. The December draw will take place at the BWSW Agm on January 20th at Queens Tennis Club. There will be 107 tickets in the draw with prizes of, £401.25, £267.50 and £133.75.
